Texas Anyone?

kittyromeo Sep 07, 2006 11:07 PM

I know we have a few folks from Texas wandering around these boards - I'm going to be there later this month. Can anyone suggest sights I should see in and around Dallas?

Elizabeth

Just got back from visiting family there last week... Central Texas, tho. That is mainly where I visit (the biggest city near my family is Austin)... I have been to San Antonio several times. Love San Antonio.

Sorry, no help on Dallas. I wonder if you can visit "South Fork" (the ranch the series "Dallas" was filmed at). I would think that would be a tourist spot...

Hopefully it is cooler for you. It was upper 90s/100 when I was there. Mom said this past week has been cooler...

Sorry about getting to you so late about this - there's not a whole lot to see in Dallas, although you might be there when the state fair opens. Now THAT'S a trip and a half! There are also some good museums and a very nice arboritum there. You could also visit the original NiemanMarcus store....

Smile, it will make them wonder what you are up to!
