8 1/2 months since Stanley was diagnosed with a brain swelling and put on a steroid to reduce the swelling. He is still going strong. No dizziness since February and we've been able to keep the pill at a reduced enough level to not affect his liver and sugar levels.

Just wanted to update everyone every few weeks on his progress...

I am heading to Norfolk for a work conference tomorrow thru Friday and it always makes me a little nervous leaving now that he is on strong meds, but I have a wonderful professional pet sitter who did a great job the end of August when I had to go away for a week. She keeps his schedule perfectly.

It will come back with a vengence when the steroids no longer work, but so far he is beating the odds. It is great he still has no symptoms.

Thanks for the continued encouragement.

I came back from the conference a day early (ended early) and all is well. The cat sitter said the first night he greeted her at the door and led her over to where he gets his meds and sat patiently for her to catch up with him and medicate him. He then let her shower him with affection after he was medicate. And, treats, of course. LOL
