Gabby was getting worse each day. I called the vet today at 12pm. They had me in the office by 2:45. They are keeping Gabby over the weekend for observations. They aren't sure what is causing her to sneeeze, not eat,not go the bathroom,and I swear she lost weight.
They are going to run some tests. I'm really worried. The vet said she would call me in the morning.

She was becoming such a cuddle bug. It is strange not to have her here. I hope she just has a cold that is easily cured.

Did she possibly eat something to get impacted? Kasha ate part of a plastic supermarket bag once,and she stopped eating and peeing. A full tube of petromalt (vet's orders) cleaned her out. The plastic couldn't be seen on x-ray. was never so happy as when she finally pooped!

Definite glows your way and I hope they get Gabby straigtened out at the vets.

It's so difficult when we have a sick baby and have no idea what is going on. It's good that Gabby will be observed for the next couple of days. I pray that the vet will have some answers for you and that whatever Gabby has will be easily treatable.

I'll be sending Glow throughout the weekend. Please update us when you find out something.

Sorry to hear Gabby is so sick.
I'm sure Gabby is in good hands and hope its just a really bad cold and with strong meds & stay with the vets you'll be on the way to a quick recovery & home again real soon.

Ok I just missed a call from the vet. Of course I had just gone in the bathroom. I tried calling back but the office is closed so they aren't answering the phone, and you can't leave a message. Frustrating!
So far this is what I know from the message she sent. It's not feline luk. Her blood works shows abnormal kidney values.
They started her on fluids and medication because of the kidney values. She is going to try to call after lunch. And I have to go buy dog food for Mya. I'm out! The dog food is an hr away.
So I think I'll leave my cell phone number.
What does abnormal kidney values mean?

Hi Jaime,

I don't know the answer to your question, but I wanted to say that I am sorry Gabby is sick. I hope the vet is able to help her! I do know that often fluid replacement and diet changes help with kidney problems, so I will keep all fingers and toes crossed for a good outcome.

I think it is all my fault. When I moved into this place there were two ant traps on the floor. I picked one up the tossed it. The other was a little more out of the way and I never got around to picking it up. I think that it what is causing the problems with Gabby. Waiting to hear back from the vet.
My battery on the computer is dying. So not sure if I will make it back online today.

Still no word from the vet. I waited until 2:15 for her to call yesterday before we left to get dog food. Good thing we left when we did. It took an one and a half hrs to get there, and we couldn't find the store for about 30 hr. Very interesting store. It wasn't even a pet store. Was a people store. But the only place that carries Innova Evo.
What a pain in the butt!
I am going to ask the Feed Store in town if they can special order it for me.

I think I'd buy as many bags as possible, that I think I'd go thru before the expiration date, if it is that far for food.

I think from now I am going to make sure to pick some up when I only have half left. It isn't that far home home. Meaning when I am at my mom's or Steve's for a weekend.

I get to pick Gabby up today between 3 and 5. I have to wait for the vet to call me to tell me when to come and get her. She is doing better. But the vet thinks she will do better at home. I just have to make sure she eats!
I should get off so I can wait for the phone call.
