Diesel the EVIL one!

fireladie Nov 28, 2006 02:40 PM

Diesel is really coming into her own. She is no longer the sweet innocent kitten i brought home, but a ruly "toddler" kit. She is really pushing her boundries, and is really brazen with the things she is doing. She knows the word NO! almost as well as she knows her name. There are certain places she is not allowed to be, when she was smaller she couldnt reach them, but now she can and really being a butthead! A squirt bottle wont deture her anymore. Her biggest problem is that she is a "needy" cat, and needs to be on me, around me, with me, and on and on. I dont mind, but in her effort to be in my face, she thinks she can climb up my clothes O.O to reach me. Now, even a stern NO BAD DIESEL! wont work. Geesh, but I love her. I really want to guide her into being a really rounded sweet cat as an adult, but the way she is going she is going to be an evil one! I really hope this "phase" lasts, but even if it doesnt, I guess she will be mine, evil or not. Okay, that is my rant about my crazy kit cat.

MOL, sounds like Diesel has hit the terrible twos...hang in there, she may always have an ornery streak but she will probably out grow a lot of it...I still have scars from Franci climbing Mt. Pantleg, while I was wearing shorts

My two boys have mellowed significantly thru the years with age... You'll see her calming as she ages (I hope).

Yep, and then you'll fondly remember all her antics. Enjoy this wonderful (but kind of tiring) phase! She sounds like a cutie.
I haven't had a kitten in many, many years but treasure the memories of the really ornery ones! Katc

My grandparent's cat Scamper, was by far the most evil toddler kit I have ever seen... he ran up curtains, hid everything he could lift, and when he bit you.. he literally struck just like a snake LOL.. but after his neuter and fattening up a bit into adulthood, he is now a very nice cat. Still a bit hyper, but nothing like he was before.

Here she is for those of you who havent seen her!

a tiny baby panther!

Exactly! To bad you cant see her in person, there are so many mannerisms and features that a photograph cant show. She is so much a little panther. I wish there was a whole breed like her.

Hi,

I don't think that Diesel is really evil, just full of energy she doesn't know what to do with! When my Jonny Cat was a baby, he was really something. Always getting into stuff, climbing my drapes, chewing on things, etc. He finally started calming down when he was a year old, and was much calmer by his second birthday.

He is now 7 years old and a wonderful kitty. Also solid black. I think there is really something special about black kitties, I have 3

Regards,
PHKitkat

Oh, I dont think she is //really// evil, only slightly. MOL, she is not really hyper, just onery. She is in the dont-tell-me-what-to-do I-own-this-place kinda phase. lol she is great though

I've read all of the other posts and I am still waiting for Boris to get out of that "stage". The older he has gotten, the more subtle he has become, but he will still show me that he can do what he is told "NO" for. When he hears the word "No" he scolds us with a resounding "MEOW" and then does it just to let us know that he is going to do it first before he decides to mind us. Then he will go back to being a perfect little gentleman. He just has to be "the Boss". Good luck.

LOL!!! Stanley is similar. Sometimes when he is told NO, he stops what he is doing, but will walk over and knock his food dish over... He knows that annoys me. Walks over and swipes it and walks away, LOL..

The good thing is, the boys have mellowed considerably and I don't have to tell them NO very often. They are good 99% of the time. The 1% results in minding, but my picking up food off the floor shortly after, LOL...

Diesel's Lesson in Misbehaving

Step one: Climb ontop of the televison.
Step two: Have mommy pick you up, tell you NO! and set you on the ground
Step three: Run as fast as you can through the house, jumping on chairs, couches, coffetable, endtables, and everything in the way.
Step Four: Run, jump and land on top of the TV again, and jump OFF just as fast.
Step Five: Be scolded once more, meow softly and mommy, reach your paw out softly touching her face. Melt mommy's heart.

This formula is sure to annoy the humans in your life.

Oh, and apparently the new hobby is called "Ambush, Diesel Style" She will hide underneath the table on chairs, and the table cloth hangs down so no one can see her. She crouches and waits till an unsuspecting dog passes, them BOOM! She pounces on them. lol It scares the dogs silly!
