clownloach Oct 13, 2003 02:37 PM

Hi, my boy Buzz eats rat pups but he should be feeding on small or a little bigger. (I am finishing out his bag) how often should i feed him his pups he is always hungry.

I'd try feeding him two at a time every five days. That should finish the bag of rat pups more quickly. Sometimes they won't take two, though. I'm no expert, but I wouldn't feed my balls more than once every five days. I like to wait until they come out of hiding and get a little exercise betwen feedings. But if hed eat more often than once every 5 days, I'm sure many people on the forum would say let him eat however often he'll take one.

A little exercise between feedings? Why, so they don't get unsightly saddlebags? These are ball pythons, they don't exercise. I feed my hatchlings two fuzzies every five days, and I don't put them on a treadmill between feedings. They do just fine, are growing nicely, and I'm happy to say, they have no love-handles.
