>>My son has a nearby neighbor that leaves a small window in his upstairs open for his cats to come and go. The cats go out and onto the garage roof then jump onto my son's patio roof. Then they mess on his roof. I see their are motion detectors that put out a noise that cats will run from. I was wondering if anyone has tried one before and if they work.

Hey there
I have indoor cats and have one of these devices in the back yard to keep the neighbourhood cats away from the patio doors. It works a treat but if the cats don't go on the same level of the sensor (for example along the fence) it's totally useless.
The sound definitely keeps them away though.
We noticed a difference in the cats outside no longer sitting by the windows annoying our kitties.

Kind Regards
