Silly Quentin

teganslaw Jun 03, 2007 06:53 PM

Quentin was on my lap this morning while I channel surfed. I got to the HSN channel where they were demnonstrating Hoover vacuums. Quentin's reaction to the vacuum on TV was so funny. His eyes got wide, his tail started flipping and his fur stood on end. He watched the vacuum moving and was about to take off running. I told him that the vacuum couldn't hurt him on TV, but he still was upset. Even when I changed the channel, it took a few minutes for him to settle down. It was probably mean to laugh at Quentin, but I couldn't help it. I did pet him and try to comfort him, though.

Poor Quentin My baby kit did the same thing yesterday to a new curtain pole we had bought and put on the floor in the living room. He was prowling round it for a good ten minutes before he was happy enough to settle to sleep. He was as big as a fluffy racoon and a tail like a fluffy brush ha ha

They are so funny at times

Mine are just as silly. I put ice in the big water bowl in the kitchen. Of course it was emitting little cracking sounds and ShyRaven was sneaking up on it with her belly to the floor. Just as she extended her nose to investigate it let out a big pop and cracked in half. She sprung straight up, did a back flip and landed about 3 feet away with all her fur on end. Of course, my laughing hysterically probably did not improve her mood a lot.

How funny!

My boys are funny with the TV. In all these years, Pookey has only been affected once. There was a red bouncy ball on the TV as he walked by. It caught his eye. When it bounced off the screen, he ran behind the TV looking for it, LOL!!!

Stanley watches Animal Planet if I turn it on and he is next to me on the computer in his chair. His chair is pretty close to the TV, so he watches it. He won't watch it in other rooms. He LOVES the championship dog shows. When the dogs run in circles, LOL.

As for strange, Pookey, still to this day, staying up all night watching the fridge when I turn the icemaker on...

Quentin watches Animal Planet also. He likes dog shows and will sit there for a long time staring at the screen. I think it's the way the dogs move around the ring that interests him.
He likes the big cats and any type of birds on TV.
Star,on the other hand, couldn't care less about TV.
I have to laugh whenever you mention Pookey and the ice machine. That is so adorable!

That's the only pic I've taken of Pookey on his patrol of the strange sounds the fridge ice maker makes when it is on. He'll sit for a very long time watching it after it drops a batch of ice, then when he gets tired, he lays down (like in the pic) and continues to watch it.
