The kid is Paula, three years ago.

The cat's back in the spa, on the table getting a lion cut. Simba, of course. My brother was over a couple of days ago and said something like, "I think that I just saw a small lion walk by. Is that a lion or a cream colored cat?" I told him that's Simba with a lion cut.

The groomer says that he is such a joy to cut and groom because he stretches into the grooming like he really loves enjoys it.

If only I knew how to resize photos to download more recent ones. I have lots of current pics of them and the grandkids but can't figure this resizing thing out at all.

He does look like he is enjoying it. He is just adorable and your brother sounds funny. Mine would be attached to the face of the groomer screaming their lungs out. I have to take them in the bathroom, shut the door and practically lay on them just to brush them. When they get a matt then it is a real battle.

He is so gorgeous with a lion cut. You had a pic you posted a few years ago that really showed him off well... Quite unusual and handsome in the cut...

Thanks, Tammy. I'll see if I can find it again for you. He's older now but is still a beauty.

I couldn't get his lion cut until late this year since he had that condition where he was losing clumps of fur on his neck on up to the top of his head in late February. Had to let that grow back in.

Vet said that he had a dermatitis but he wasn't sure what was causing it, possibly stress or a food allergy. The cortisone injection cleared it up but it was about 3 weeks later that they had the pet food recall and I suspect that he may have eaten some of the tainted food. He's the only one who loved canned Iams. Of course, I no longer had any of the cans with the numbers on them.

Here's some older pics of Simba. The first one is when he was just a baby, about a year and one half old when I first got him. See how furry he is? The second is with my grandson, Josh, in 2005. And the last one is in about 2001 or 2002. He still looks the same.

He is a strikingly beautiful cat. I always enjoy pictures of him, including these favorites.
