Hello
I have to move soon which was extremely unplanned. I can only afford a bachelor though. Thing is I have 2 cats. I have a cat tree for them and a fish tank to distract them, and I'd put up bird feeders. I'd play with them a lot for more exercise too. It would only be for a year or so. Is this just too cruel or will they be ok? I just can't give them away I love them sooo much

I think your cats will be just fine in a small apartment. I have lived in small places with up to 3 cats and they did well.
No need for you to consider any other options

I agree -- no worries. My two cats and I lived in an apartment and then (now) in a condo for many years. While yours may be very small, love and attention will go a long way the next year or so until you get a bigger place, if you get a bigger place. Cat's don't need constant exercise. They sleep a lot. Just give them play sessions and you'll be fine. Many, many of us have cats happily for years in apartments/condos.

My husband and I lived in small apartments for years with two cats before we got our house. The cats were fine. As long as they get the same amount of attention, cats can live almost anywhere. There is no need to worry.
