Has anybody tried......

any of those videos for cats? I ordered one today from Amazon.com, thinking that it might help with their boredom while I'm away at work. I guess that they are looped so that they play over and over again. I'll probably get it within a week so I'll let you know what they think of it.

I never tried the videos, but they should work. Stanley LOVED Animal Planet. When they had a dog show (loved to watch the dogs walking in a circle) and when they had their "working dog" shows like K9 and Search and Recovery dogs. He'd hear the theme song to K-9-to-5 and come running, LOL. Had to keep a chair pretty close to the TV for him to notice. He sat right next to me on the computer and the chair wasn't too far from a small TV. If he wasn't right on the TV, he didn't notice the show.

Pookey has never shown any interest in TV, tho I keep it on Animal Planet when I am traveling (if I go on a work trip or go home to visit family for a week). Only twice did he react thru the years. Once was a tennis match and when the ball went off screen, he ran behind the TV looking for it and the same thing when they had a jingle on the bottom of the screen (words typed out in a jingle) with a bouncing red ball over the words. He ran behind the TV looking for the red ball when it went off-screen. Other than that, could have animals chirping, barking, meowing and he doesn't care...

Good luck. Some cats have interest, some don't.

I have one and they like it but only if I play it for a while and then put it away for a long time and then bring it back out again. They get bored once they figure out that the birds can't come out and they can't get in to get them
