well, I'm not grieving yet...

and I hope not to have to be, but a family kitty, Leo, has disappeared for 2 weeks and 1 day now. I am still holding on to a lot of hope that we'll find him. I keep praying to St. Francis to keep him safe & to St. Anthony to help find him. This morning my sister got a call from a local shelter saying a gray male cat under age was found a town over from us. We left a message and are waiting with baited breath for the lady to call us back. Our Leo is gray and white, my sister told the lady at the humane society. She said she wasn't sure if he was white, too, it was just a mssg she was forwarding on. So, please say a prayer this is our boy or he'll come home soon!

(Leo is a kitten that my college-aged sister got and then my parents wouldn't initially let her keep. He lived with my husband and I for a month or two before my parents broke down and decided to take him back. It didn't even take a day before they were in love with him. Anyway, I still feel like he is partially my kitty...so I miss him tons!).

Don't give up! Last summer my indoor kitties knocked a screen out and got outside. They came in, except my beloved Willy was missing! I hate to admit it, but he sorta was my favorite. An absolute clown/lovebug. I was devastated. After 2 and 1/2 weeks I was so depressed, my daughter talked me into adopting another. Even tho nothing could replace my Willy, Petey came into our lives and I had 3 again. Then 1 week later, WILLY came home!!! Now I have 4!. Will was due for his check-up and the vet told me a story about a found cat after 1 year! She said if they find their way home, they will usually come by around dusk and they will act skittish, because when an inside kitty gets out they get very confused. (Exactly what my Willy did, we'd hear a cat and see glimpses at dusk, but it would hide if we got near). Life is good again, Willy is back (and he loves his new 'little brother'.
