Cat bites when things get hectic

Shirley Jun 30, 2004 11:13 PM

In my household there are five animals. Two cats, one kitten, a dog, and a turtle. Well, one of our cats has been behaving very strangely for a while now. Whenever my younger sisters get in a fight with my mom theres always alot of yelling. This has always upset our second oldest cat whose name is Spanky. Spanky was a stray my aunt found outside our house when he was a kitten. All we know about his breeding is that he has the coloring and characteristics of a russian blue. Anyways, whenever my mom and sisters start going at it he always comes in and starts crying. Lately though, when crying hasnt stopped the yelling he has started biting my mom and occasionally draws blood. It is always my mom and sometimes it is my sister that is doing all the yelling rather than my mom. This has really been upsetting her because she is the one that cares for all our animals (except the turtle hes mine and she has shown Spanky the most attention. If you have any thoughts please reply so we can find out why our cat bites the hand that feeds him. (litterally, i know its corny but its true)

He is probably trying to get your mom away from your sister. My dog if someone pretends to hit me she grabs onto my arm (with her mouth)and tries to pull me away. Also, she will jump up on me and try to push me away.
