inddor cat help

hi all, my name is hayley and i'm new to this board
i have 2 indoor cats, we have recently moved house and i have a concern. does anyone know of any devices or tricks i can apply which would enable me to open the windows, letting fresh air in and still keeping my kitties safe? any tips would be appriciated, cheers guys!

Do you have screens on your windows? We use screens here in the USA. Please give more details and we might be able to give you more suggestions.

hi there, no we dont have screens as standard, our windows are basically double glazed rectangular shaped, the bottom half opens out, whilst the top half remains staionary, however a couple of our windows are a style called sash windows - these are the old fashioned type where the bottom half slides up - sorry i wasnt very descriptive in my previous message!

I would get screens for the ones that the window open up instead of out.

I am not sure where you are, but you should look into screens. Besides keeping the kitties in they keep the nasty bugs out!

Failing that perhaps you could concoct your own screens from mosquito netting or something.
