zoe Aug 11, 2005 12:38 PM

Hello everyone, I have a bit of a situation with my cat. with my 4 year old cat in the last week he has peed in the house 3 times. He is a very healthy cat and we have had him for 3 years with no problems. Nothing has changed, litter is always clean. All I can think is mabey hes stresed out but he has never showed it by doing this. Im kinda worried if anyone has any advice it would be grealy appreciated.

Thanks, Allison

Greetings from Arizona!

I am so sorry to hear of your troubles with the peeing. I have a cat who is also peeing around my house and she had not done this the entire year we have had her. She is starting to become territorial. I know why though, it is because we have other cats in the house. But, your situation with not having any changes in your enviornment is a stumper. Did you happen to get a new friend that has been coming over who may have a kitty at home, and bringing the smells with them? Or do you have a new job that takes you away more hours? How about new places you have been. My cat started peeing when I was doing my line of work in other person's homes and picking up smells from other animals. Just thought I'd mention some things in hopes to help. I am buying a book soon on cat behavior. I will let you know if I find a good one to help us.

Sincerely,

Kim Cardwell
