female cat "spraying" one room

mingdurga Dec 04, 2007 10:48 AM

A friend's female cat (3 years old, spayed) has started to urinate on youngster's bedroom walls. Litter box is in bathroom.
This behavior started a week ago. Both parents work.
Is this a medical issue?

Thanks.

Hi,

The cat needs to go to the vet and have a urinalysis done to find out if there is an infection present. There is no other way to tell.

One of my girls sprays only when she has a urinary tract infection. This may be the case with your friend's cat also.

Please ask them to make an appointment ASAP and let us know how it goes.

Regards,
PHKitkat
