I have a 6 year old male orange tabby cat and he always was the playful and cuddly one and loved getting picked up and held or even just sleep on your lap. But lately I've noticed every time I go to pick him up to say hi he growls and hisses at me. He even growls at company which he never used to do. Could it be because he's just getting older?

I would take kitty to the vet and have him checked out. He is only 6 and that isn't all that old. Personality changed could be a sign that kitty doesn't feel well.

Hi,

I agree with the other poster. A change in behavior such as you describe means it's time for a vet check. Labwork would also be a good idea.

Please let us know how it goes woth your baby.
