Hi,

There is no magic solution to this problem. A baby is a major change to a household and most cats do not react well to change. I think the best thing would be for the cat to have his own room for awhile, if this is possible. This way he will have a place where he feels safe as he gets used to the way the baby smells and sounds, and he will have his own things in the room as well.

I never recommend getting "rid" of a cat as an answer in a case like this. It's not the cat's fault. He is just reacting to a huge change in his life.

Regards,
PHKitkat
