Whenever I change the bed linens, it's a 20-minute process, at least. One of my cats loves to "help" me change the sheets. I whip out the first sheet and throw it over the bed, then he frantically rushes around pouncing on each air bubble until every little wrinkle has been flattened out. Sometimes he needs to crawl under the same sheet to make sure there are no creatures hiding there. Hee!

Does your cat help with household chores?

Yup, Shorty doesnt help with the bed making, but she does like to hold the broom down for me when I sweep, she also likes to supervise the laundry.

Tee hee. Wait a sec. Does this mean she holds down the broom to prevent you from sweeping? I love this. What a great excuse for not cleaning. Hmmmm. I need to train my cats to do this.

Laundry supervision is of the utmost importance. A good cat will guard one pile and dig a tunnel through the other, and unfold the clothes you folded improperly. Big grin....

Bob helps with everything that you said. He also cooks, MOL, (un)folds the laundry and runs around the vacuum cleaner to let me know of dusty dirty places I missed. Daisy justs hides
Here's a pic that I took when he was helping me flattening the quilts on my bed.

You better believe it! I usually have 4 or 5 cats helping me make the bed. LOL. It's a mad rush to see who can pop the most air bubbles and who can pounce on the kidden kitty under the sheets. I usually have to let them play until they get bored and then finish making the bed. The feather duster is a daily game for them too. They think it's anothe rfeather onna stick toy for them. And mopping the floors is a real scream. Casey and Maddie ove to "skate" on the newly washed floor. They will get a running start and then slide across the floor....and then try and take off again only they have no traction. I always laugh myself silly. It reminds me of that part in that motion pictre where the guy is singing old time rock and roll in his underwear. Leave it to my memory to forget who the actor is or the name of the darn movie!

Tee hee. You're thinking of Tom Cruise in "Risky Business."
You've reminded me of why I don't own a feather duster any more!! When trying to dust with those things, cats were leaping all over the place, knocking down items in the process. Another good excuse for me to not clean. :-X

Hi Everyone! Chloe, my Burmese, loves to help with the housework... bedmaking being her absolute favorite activity!! Chloe insists on jumping into the sheets, kicking them, pouncing on them, and then hiding underneath the top sheet for a nice game of pounce and peek-a-boo....Chloe also enjoys inspecting the laundry basket from the inside out - especially when it's filled with nice, warm from the dryer, towels! Dusting, ironing and sweeping also have to have Chloe's up close inspection -- The big "NO, NO" however, is vacuuming -- Chloe heads for the hills whenever the Big Blue Monster comes out of it's house in the front hall closet!!

Here's a pic of Inspector Chloe examining my bedmaking techinque!!

Captain Video helps make the bed - I think all cats do. He also likes to help when I fold and sort the laundry - generally he offers to take over one pile of towels and flatten them out. He ignores my feather duster and hates vaccumming.

His most important job is personal trainer when I exercise. I do some work on the floor and he is always there encouraging me with headbonks.

Smile, it will make them wonder what you are up to!

I am not so sure that I call it help but every day is a battle making the bed. Seems like Boris just loves to jump on hubby's side of the bed and roll and roll! I tell hubby that Boris is marking his territory as Boris will not do it on my side of the bed. LOL

Tee hee. I think Boris is reminding your husband who the top cat is.
