Red Phase/locality Western Hogs...

SRX May 28, 2003 07:28 AM

What locality are the deep red Hogs? Does the deep red color variety occur in all 3 of the Western subspecies or is it a particular one(H.n.nasicus, H.n.gloydi, or H.n.kennerlyi)?

Any feedback or photo id's would be appreciated.

Thanks for your time,
Scott

From what I have seen, there are no red phase kenneryli. The only reds I have seen are nasicus and "gloydi", though the red is not as intense in the "gloydi." I have no idea on locality of any of these animals though. Maybe some Tx people could help us out.
