2 Dragons in a 60gal???

dasnakeguy Oct 13, 2003 06:32 PM

I have my dragon in a 60gal approximately 4'x16". I would like to get another perferably of the opposite sex (don't know if mine is male or female yet). Would this be enough space for a male and female dragon? Also how old does your dragon have to be before you can properly sex it? My dragon is almost 4 months old.

Not a good idea to house male and female in the same enclosure. Males are known for dominating females and can cause them to stress out big time, and not eat as well. You have much better statistics housing two females for any length of time then a pair of female & male. Males will come sexually mature at young ages and will be able to get females gravid way to early for proper health for her. She can deteriate rather quickly.
