CAT BOX LINERS

DAC596 Feb 11, 2004 03:47 PM

WE USE A LINER IN OUR LITTER BOX. MY TOM LIKES TO SCRAPE THE WALL, THE FLOOR, EVERYWHERE. THIS ISN'T A PROBLEM, BUT IN HIS SCRAPING HE SCRAPES THE LINER FROM THE SIDES OF THE LITTER BOX THUS COVERING THE LITTER! ANY IDEAS ON HOW TO HOLD THE LINER ON THE SIDES OF THE BOX?

About the only thing I can think of is to get a covered litterbox - the cover would hold the lining in place. However this may not work for you either because of space or because the cat might not like a cover.

Can someone explain to me why a liner is a good idea? I understand it means less clean-up in the box.....but I just can't imagine it working very well. Don't the kitties rip it apart when they are scratching in the box? My kitties go through several inches of litter to get their business right on the bottom of the box. I guess I just don't understand how a liner would do any good.

ONLY WORKS IF THEY DON'T HAVE FRONT CLAWS.

WE TOOK THE LID OFF BECAUSE THE CATS ARE SO BIG THAT THEY COULDN'T EVEN TURN AROUND INSIDE IT.

Maybe you can tape it down on the outside of the box with Duct tape. By the way you don't have to type in all caps.
I never understood oh liners worked either. That makes sense if they are declawed.
Good luck.
