Well, my dear alpha kitty had a URI!! That is why she was urinating on the carpet! I was so sure it was attitude. It seemed to happen when all the cats were together eating and always right when we got home.

She has been on antibiotics now for 10 days and is back to normal. I delayed 3 weeks because I thought it was behavioral. Amazing how I don't know my own cat!

I am so glad that the problem was diagnosed and treated correctly. Hopefully your litterbox problems are a thing of the past!

Ellen, I am so glad that Voodoo is now on antibotics, and that she wasn't having a behavior problem. Our cat Lizzy pee on the carpet near the door when ever we got home a few yrs ago. This happened for about four days before mom took her to the vet. It was because of a UTI. I think they just want us to notice they are sick. poor babies.

Yes, I am glad the antibiotics seemed to solve the problem. She goes back to the vet this weekend to make sure the UTI is really really gone. I feel bad, though, that she suffered with this problem for several weeks before I was smart enough to take her in. My poor kitty!
