I am cat sitting a kitty who uses cedar-like chips in her litter box and can't figure out how to clean it. She uses scoopable litter for her poos and pees in the cedar. How do you scoop the cedar as it doesn't clump.
Thanks

Is there a bag of cedar chips somewhere that explains what to do? I am going to assume that you have to just totally replace the chips after a period of time like you do conventional (non-scoop) kitty litter. Hopefully someone left you extra litter along with the kitty when you agreed to babysit her. Good luck! If you can't find the answer with a bag, perhaps you could look up the manufacturer's website!

great idea to look at the website! i couldn't find the bag in the house anywhere. the owner is home now and i will get the answer from her. i too think the way to go was to empty the entire box. side note: i did NOT like the cedar...you can smell it upon entering the home, no way to scoop the urine, and it is VERY dusty.
