catnip and kleenex`s

evil_kitten Oct 21, 2003 05:33 PM

O.K. so I have two questions.

1: I have given my kit Moogie some catnip before but all she did is roll in it nothing special she also has a toy in wich I inserted catnip but all she ever did is hide it behind the couch with her other toys that she doesn`t play with. I know all cats react differently to catnip but what is a typical behaviour?

2:She will not stop stealing kleenexs! she started by taking the crumpled up ones from garbages, but then she started taking them right out of the box also! She plays with them for a while and then hides them behind the couch I end up with tons of kleenexs there.I started spraying her when she tips the garbage but know she is just careful not to tip the garbage! I love her and don`t mind cleaning up the mess but I just wanted to know if it`s alright for me to let her do so.

Awww! What a cutie!

Most cats do not respond to catnip before they are six months old. And about a third of all cats don't respond to catnip. She may just be one who doesn't.

If you can put the kleenex in a trash can that is inaccesible to the cat this would be for the best. Injesting paper is probably not good for her, and I have a feeling she probably gets a bit of kleenex into her system when she nabs them.
