Chameleon Growth

Knotty_Q Oct 13, 2003 08:10 PM

Hi, I purchased a veiled chameleon about a year ago at a reptile show. At that time she was about 1 1/2 inches, and now she is only about 6 or 7 inches long. She looks healthy and I feed her daily or every other day (about 6-10 crix.). I just want to know where I went wrong. Please help.
thanks
Josh
p.s. does cage size matter with growth, she's in a 25 gallon screen cage.

That seems ok for a female!

if that is a female, and that is her body size, then she is just fine. females don't tend to get as big as the males do. as far as i know, cage size doesn't affect growth, but she should still have a bigger cage than that. more like a 18x18x36 or even better a 24x24x48 screen cage.....
