My question is this: Does it mean anything when a cat constantly holds it tail vertical in the air? I've owned cats for years, and never have I seen one do this all day long. She wont put it down!

Don't know but my Crash holds her straight up in the air also. It almost looks like a tropical tree when she walks around.

I've always read that the happiest cats are the ones who have their tails up all of the time. It's an open invitation for other cats or people? to come an sniff their butts, a friendly gesture in cats, the same as human handshakes. My four cats usually have their tails up all the time and when one of them has a tail down, then I wonder what is wrong with him/her. Think of the dog who has his tail between his legs...you know he's afraid or sad. However when you see him jumping around with his tail up and wagging, you know that he's in good spirits.
Tail Up = Happy Cat.
