Cat caught using the bathroom

chibicricket Feb 18, 2005 09:03 PM

My 11 yr old cat, who has always been a little strange (but I think all cats are a little strange), was caught using the toilet two nights ago. He has never done this before, and he is not trained to do anything like that. It's really weird, beause I have a 2yr old daughter who is potty-training right now. I just thought I'd share this very strange story.

LOL don't complain means less litter box scooping for you. I guess he decided to learn right along with your daughter. I wish I could teach my cats to do that. I have to leave the lid shut all the time because of the dog.

Actually I have heard of this happening numerous times (although not at my house, sigh...) - my friend had a cat who did this.

Who knows why? It could be that the cat is actually trying to "mark" the toilet as his, in competition with your daughter, or perhaps he smells that humans go there and has decided that is where he is supposed to go!
