My Baby's Missing

fluffy_kinns Feb 28, 2005 05:12 PM

O.K this is a follow up from 'BLOODY EYE' which I posted before. well i brought Pepsi to the vet and he said that she has high blood pressure and the veins in her eyes have become swolen and are blocking the light getting into her eyes he said it isn't a serious problem so he gave us some tablets and some eye drops. well she was getting better and then yesterday she started to walk into walls again and was asking for likr 5 plates of dinnerand it hadent reached 6 oclock yet which is quite unusual for Pepsi. i fed her about 4 times and then i let her out as she was asking to. Pepsi is a house cat and she hasn't returned home yet. I know its only been like a dsay and a half but pepsi never sleeps outside and im really scared for her because she's 15 years old and it's winter andreally cold . someone pleasetell me whati can do. I MISS HER

I hope by now Pepsi has returned. But here are some thoughts in case she hasn't...

Be sure to leave some food outside along with some bedding that has a familiar smell. That may help her find her way back if she becomes disoriented.

Check in small places - under cars, in holes, cracks in walls, etc. around your neighborhood. Go house to house with a flyer and see if your neighbors have seen anything of her.

The best times to look for a missing cat are dawn and dusk, although with cold temps this may be hard to do.

Best wishes. Keep us posted.

I am sorry. When a cat or other pet goes missing it is a heartbreak because you just don't know what has happened.

Best wishes!

I am really sorry for what you are going through! I know how hard it is! I had a kitty sneak out once (from a second story window in an apartment building!) and I was beside myself! I put flyers all over the neighborhood and got lots of calls from nice neighbors who had seen her! I put her usual food dish, with fresh food always, near the entrance to the building, along with some towels (unlaundered, so they smelled familiar!) I finally got her home by putting a "live trap" with some tuna inside near the area where I had placed the items just mentioned, and she went for it!

I really hope your sweet friend is ok and that she comes home to you soon!
