careyonsa Jul 27, 2005 08:13 AM

I woke up this morning to find Jack running around the house, very low to the ground , almost like he was hunting. He quickly stops and the starts licking him self like he itchy or something. It doesn't look like he is having fun, he looks troubled. HAs anyone seen this in their cat. I'm calling the vet.

Seen this when an ant or other insect was biting them and they couldn't get rid of it. Can also be an extremely itchy skin reaction to something. Yes, better to call the vet.

Tilda is as usual right on the money here - call the vet! When cats crouch something is disturbing them and the licking indicates that something on his skin is hurting him.

Good luck! Let us know what the vet says.
