I'm not sure what is up with Chessie and his reactions to water. He doesn't like taking a bath or getting wet when he jumps in the tub without realizing there is water in it. He also doesn't like water getting sprayed on him (like from the water bottle when he's getting into trouble). However when I've just gotten out of the shower and the tub is wet or I'm cleaning his kennel and the floor of the kennel is wet, he has no problem jumping right in and rolling around in the puddles. Anybody have any idea as to why this might be. It's not a big deal unless he gets wet and decides to go for a romp through his litterboxes.

Hi There,

Cats like things on their own terms and they like to be in control. Being bathed, sprayed with water, or jumping into what appears to be an empty tub but contains water, are not things most cats like. Playing and rolling around in a much smaller amount of water that isn't moving or coming at him is what Chessie enjoys. It's totally different and is not really strange behavior for a cat.
