Blind Kitty Maggie

momschack Apr 09, 2003 10:52 PM

Hello Everyone! Our computer has been down for a while and I just wanted you all to know that Blind Kitty Maggie is doing just wonderful -- thanks to all of your help- she has learned her way around the upstairs now and although there are still some problems with the older kitty we have- we are working it all out and things are going alot better now. We took her to another vet for a second opinion on her blindness and they found that she actually has no major vessels that she should have going to her cornea's and she was born this way. At least now we know 100% what we are dealing with and that helps- we also had them run all of the blood tests to rule out any defects or diseases and she came out with a clean bill of health- we love her so much and our other kitty Sweetie and they will some day come to tolerate one another- they both have come a long way and are doing great- just wanted everyone to know. Thanks again for all your support- it meant alot to us. Momschack- Maggie- and Sweetie!!!

Aw, I remember her! Sounds like she has really, really been blessed in the person department. What a lucky kitty she is! And I'm glad to know her blindness is not the result of an injury.

I'm glad to hear everything is going well with Maggie. It's amazing what these beautiful creatures can overcome. Afterall, "handicapped" is not in *their* vocabulary.
