Is Royal Canin widely accepted as a high quality, premium cat food? If it matters, I am referring specifically to the Sensible Choice Chicken Meal & Rice Formula (adult).

we got our kittens from a rescue organization and they recommened royal canin. they indicated that royal canin is at the higher end of cat food, and it is especially nutritious. other people at the pet store have said that it makes the kitty's fur very silky and soft. i can't argue with that. our two cats have been eating it ever since and they are happy, healthy, and silky.

yep, it's very good cat food, very nutritious. Our kitten breeder recommended it, but we later shifted to another food, but only because our older cat didn't like the new food. The kittens loved it and couldn't eat enough. My sis feeds her cat the siamese food, which is designed for their funny faces (long narrow) and their body shape. good stuff.
