Man,.. I wouldn't care if people started posting pictures of ringneck snakes,... ANYTHING to get this dead forum going is a wonderful thing.
Say,. do you like the albino tigers better than the regular albino tics? I personally like the normals better in terms of pattern and color, but many people seem to prefer the tiger albino. I'm producing both this season.

is a picture of one of my 1.2 lavender albino retics. I wish all the forums would take off. Let's talk breeding strategies or even get some newer posters to ask questions of the more experienced herpers just to get some action. I remember when I first visited here there were questions galore but now it seems to be more oriented toward picture posting since everyone has digital camera's. I like to hear about everyones ideas on breeding, husbandry, finding lost snakes, getting problem feeders started, new projects, wish lists, etc... I will be attempting to breed 1.2 Papuan Pythons, 1.1 pure Diamond pythons, 1.1 hybrid carpets and 1.1 pure JCP's and possibly a new pair of high end JCP's. I am really excited about the potential of the Papuans. Anyway here is my little male albino retic.
You're the guy with the 13 foot pauans, right? I love those. I am looking for a trio of captive papuans right now. And I am looking for 100% pure diamonds too.
Beautiful albino you have there. I have some lavender phase too, and let me tell you, they only improve with age. Mine are adults now and just STUNNING! I originally purchased 1.2 of the lavender phase, but it turned out to be 2.1 lol. But I love the extra lavender fella, so I suppose it's not too bad. I just try to ignore the 100k per year difference in potential income, lol. I really don't care too much about money anyways, so it's not too bad I suppose. Just a bit of advise to all, Always sex what you get the moment you get it!! Trust no one to be infallible.

I would sure like to see the adult pair of albinos, since we all have camera's these days...it is fun to share pics and info... have they been great feeders for you??.Thanks
Sure thing. I was going to take some new pictures right now anyways as one of the males is currently breeding one of the females. The other female will be paired with my tiger het albino in a couple weeks when their current meal masses are all digested.
Yes, they are all terrific feeders, though last year they went through a bit of a slump. Plus, one of the females only likes rats, so I had to always trick her. That was a bit of a pain. But I have it down now to where all I have to do is run the mouth of a freshly killed rat over the nose of a freshly killed rabbit. She buys it every time. She's the smallest female and is about 14 feet.

I currently have to females. One is 13-14ft, the other is 10ft. I had a male on breed loan in 2000, and got them to lock up nicely several times, but nothing came of the breeding. I have been looking to pick up a male since, but have not been able to find one. The male I used in 2000 is no longer available to me, so Im waiting. I never seem to have the money when I see the male, and I vice versa. I think they have been an overlooked snake for years.

pics of those females that sounds awesome !! Whats there wt.??
I would choose an albino normal (purple ph) over the tiger. But beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and money comes into play as well. Alot more stands to be made with amel.tigers. in future breeding. Honestly though give me a pure locale that had not been bred and I would take it above the morph.
I am very adamant about the normal phase and pure locales, and do not work with any of the retic morph forms. I must say they are very attractive, but I have chosen to work with locale and normal forms. I feel in the end these types will be at greatest risk due to human expansion.

Glad to see you post..and apprecate your interest for the pure species..But I like the idea of producing differant morphs in the same clutch... and at the same time worth alittle more $$...it always helps if the hobby can pay for it self.. If I was to get a wild caught animal it would have to be an extordinary looking pair of Calico's some are really awesome..but the thought of W/C is out of the Question at this time..Thanks for sharing
If I could choose anything, I would take a nice CBB Seyalar retic, over any albino or other morph I could find.
I really like the many different pure locality breeds too, and I do intend to get into working with them very soon. For right now I have to focus on phases that will increase my capital so as to invest in many more breeds and phases. After that is accomplished I will be breeding every different "normal" phase I can get pure specimens of. But not for any reasons of profit,.. but for fun and to produce just a few each year for other serious hobbiests/herpers looking for quality, pure breeds. Kind of like the common boas,... each year, as soon as 2 boas are gravid, I cease all breeding so as to not produce too many of an animal that is already overproduced. So with the selayers, balis, and what-have-you, I would get one gravid per year so as to have a little bit of everything available, and also to have the pleasure of working with an exciting, wide variety of different animals.
