Little found blind bundle

londonmae Nov 24, 2004 12:54 PM

We have a kitten that we found in the middle of the road, he was a tiny little thing. We stopped the car and picked him up.His little eyes were all clogged with yellow puss, his nose crusted over. I was so saddend and crushed that we looked for other little ones around the side of the road for days after we found him. I rushed him to the vet and had testes run and got him the best care I could. They put him on meds and told me not to get my hopes up. Four days later I was back with a much happier kitten that we had named Stevie. We knew he was blind and the name just fit. He was a true Wonder....therefor Stevie Wonder. He had his eyes removed two months ago and has a constant respitory infection but he is the happiest little bundle in our house of 5 cats and 2 dogs and 4 boys! I couldn't imagine not having him in our lives. He follows me around the house and gets around really well. He goes on vacations with us and loves the car. He plays with our other animals and they love and treat him with special care. We have bells on all the other pets we have and Stevie chases them from room to room. They love him like the humans in his life do. We have been blessed.

i think in all actuality that you, your family and the kitten have all been blessed. kudos to you !!!! you might want to check with the vet and perhaps try another antibiotic for that respitory problem. good luck

Oh Stevie is one lucky kitty! And what a great name for him too.
And considering his special needs I love the fact that you put bells on all the other cats in you're home for him.

Happy Tails to Stevie and the gang!

How wonderful that Stevie found such a good person to take care of him and give him love. He'll give you unconditional love in return. His name is so fitting too.
