If it's true that male cats who are neutered can have one last good shot in them? I'm friends with a woman who has a neutered male that got her unspayed female pregnant a year after the surgery. Her vet told her this, and I had always thought it was a myth in humans much less in cats... anyone have any info? Our neutered males seem awefully interested in Chantilly these days.-- Jennifer

I have never heard of this at all. When a cat is neutered his testicals are removed and thus cannot form sperm. After a year, any semen in the body would be dead because heat kills it. (Which is why cats and other males have "fuzzy puffs" - it gets the sperm farther out from the body and keeps it viable.}

I guess it could be true. Anything can happen. Ask several more authorities.
