pregnancy showing

dunpeal Mar 31, 2006 07:44 AM

Okay so I asked about my pregnant cat the a little while ago. But I'm starting to doubt myself because she's small and I can't see or feel a kitten. But this is her first pregnancy and she's a small cat anyways (she's the fluffy one liking her nose in the photo, Yuki is the father next to her. This picture was taken when they were kittens) and she's really furry. So my new question is, if she was having only one kitten, would I be able to see the kitten during the last 2 or 3 weeks. Also what about if it was two?

Not sure if the picture worked so here's a link with a few of my many photos of the cats.

I think you need to get the mama kitty to a vet to be sure all is well and going smoothly. In a kitty this young problems can occur and medical advice is the best thing you can have.

For some reason your photos aren't showing. Could be a server issue - they don't always allow their photos to be shown.

Hi,

I think it's time to take this girl in for a vet check. It's the only way you can find out of she is pregnant or not. You may or may not be able to see or feel a kitten or kittens at this stage as they grow fastest at the end of a pregnancy. It's not a good idea to be palpating the cat anyway, let the vet do that.

There is also a possibility that the kitty was pregnant and her body resorbed the kittens. This happens from time to time. Might be a good idea to have an x-ray taken. If there are viable kittens, an x-ray won't hurt them.

Take care, and please let us know what happens.

Regards,
PHKitkat
