Scared for my two boys

fluffy_kinns Dec 07, 2006 03:55 PM

Ok i have two adorable male kittens Fitz & Trix(well cats their 1 year old) they are both quite small and have been Neutered so dont do the whole mating call thing, but there is this black tom cat that is always in or near our garden wailing horrificly, i think he is in heat. Our neighbours cat is lovely and was always in our garden, Fitz didn't mind her but Trix hated her anyways i discovered she was in heat and that was probly the reason she was always hanging around my 2 gorgeous boys. She is pregnant now and she probly put her scent down in our garden which is why this tom keeps wailing & coming round. He seems really nice and friendly when i approached (only once don't want to encourage him) but if he knows an in heat female once was here he might get teritorial and aggressive to my 2 boys even though it is their garden, now i'm scared to let them out at night because i don't want them to get hurt the cat looks older and bigger than them. What can i do

The females scent should fade and then the tomcat should go on his way looking for one that isn't pregnant that he can mate with. I would keep your boys in at least for now.

Thank you PHWildCat.
OMG yesterday my neighbours knocked on my door and was askin if i have seen their cat, she hasn't been home for a few days. Ithought that would happen im scared because she has probably gone somewhere outdoors to give birth. this is terrible because anything can happen to her and her new born litter
