Hi,

Holly is almost 17 & had a mast cell tumor removed almost 7 months ago. She recovered quickly & is in otherwise good health, still talking & cuddling & letting the other cat know who is boss.

However, she won't eat but just a nibble or two each day. I've tried different flavors of canned science diet (she's eaten the dry her entire life), with no luck.

I know she's hungry because she tells me! She's still drinking water.

Any ideas?!?! She's never eaten people food in her life.

Poor Holly!

She probably would do well with raw stuff like chicken or hamburger.There is an argument that such meats also offer up bacterial infections as well, but since Holly is so old, perhaps you can re-think this issue.

If you ask the vet he/she can give you something that will stimulate Holly's appetite.
