Albino Green Granite Burmese?

toddbecker Oct 13, 2003 11:12 PM

I currently have 1.1 albino Burms het for granite an 0.1 Burm het for granite. I plan on breeding them next year and hopefully will have some beautiful granites and albino granites. Anyway the purpose of the post is to inquire whether or not any one has combined these three recessive traits. I have thought a lot about this as a possible future project and was wondering if it had been done. Also in th eopinion of the more experienced keepers and breeders out there would the green overwhelm the granite trait and eventually fade or do you think that the three phases would blend together nicely. Just a thought on something I have been considering. Thanks for your opinions, Todd

the 3 genes can be combined. Dr. Owens on Bob Clarks forums has breed triple hets. albino, green, and granite. It produced some cool looking offspring. Some of the granites had the green color to them. But if they fade to patternless snakes then i guess the green is the most dominant gene. Time will tell.Go to Bob Clarks site and do a searh or contact Dr. Owens

thanks for the directions you gave. I went to the other forum and I saw some pics. They are quite spectacular looking snakes. My plan is to be producing them in about three or four years from now. Anyway, Thanks for the guidance, Todd
