Hi,

Yes, you should be VERY worried. It is a very serious thing when a cat stops eating for more than a day or so. Cats can develop a very serious liver condition, known as fatty liver disease when they haven't been eating for as little as 2 or 3 days. This is besides what caused them to stop eating in the first place.

I recommend that you take your baby in immediately. And please don't let him go out, he may wander off and you may never see him again. Some cats will just want to find a place to hide when they are very ill.

Your vet will most likely want to run a blood panel and possibility a urinalysis to help determine what is wrong with your kitty.

Please keep us updated.

Yeah I took him in before I got the reply and the diagnosis was kidney failure. So he's been put to sleep. He's now resting in peace where he love to be, the farm behind where I live

I am so sorry. May the kitty play in peace at the Bridge.

Smile, it will make them wonder what you are up to!
