Price Ranges

dunlax072 Oct 13, 2003 11:21 PM

Well, I've finally finished up my cage and now am in the market to buy its resident. I'm waiting for the expo in Tampa on Nov 1 to buy the cham, and i was wondering if anybody had any idea as to what price range to expect. I've been to expos before and know that prices are generally much lower than retail, but I've never been there to buy chams before. So, to make a long question short (too late) how much money do i need to have with me? I'm hoping to buy a panther, locale is not too important, as they all look great to me. Thanks for your help.

Scott

Price ranges apparently are quite a bit different from coast to coast. At the west coast shows, it seems panthers start at around $200 from the breeders. Some places like LLL sell them cheaper but I'm not gonna comment on that. That price is for a 3 or 4 month old chameleon. For a 6 month old range chameleon they can be anywhere around 300, and for a large, like 1 year old they can be alot maybe 400 or more depending on quality, size, locale etc. Large males are usually more than large females, which seem to max out at about 350. I don't know though cause someone told me that panthers were alot cheaper at the Florida shows. These prices are from breeders like Kammers, Amazing Blue and other reputable breeders.

Hey scott. nice to see someone else from florida here. I bought my first panther from "lizards of ozz" they were at the orlando show. it was an ambanja they wanted $150 for small I'd say 2-2.5 inch. and $175 for 3-4 inch ones. we went on the last day and offered him $125 for a larger one and he said ok. . . they were the cheapest. they had its father there to look at as well. I hope they will be at the show in nov. they said they were going to have sambava babies then. and the dad looks amazing. All the other breeders were a bit more pricy. $200 for nosy be's and up. so at 8 months. this is the cham I got from lizards of ozz
