My Cuban Tree Frog just developed cloudiness in his one eye. It looks kind of like a cataract or something. Does anyone know what it might be and how I can cure it?
Every once in a while I'll notice that one of my Cuban's eyes gets a little cloudy when they are shedding. It could just be that, if it doesn't clean up in a day or so, I would suggest a visit to a vet.
A couple things to try in the mean time. Clean, fresh water (treated or course) throughout the day, spot clean your tank including wiping off plant leaves and watch for any odd behaviour.
I'm sure someone else will have more input soon.
Hope this helps a bit

This is often either a bacterial infection which can be cured (hence Heathers frogs lost it quite quickly) or it can more rarely be a result of renal failure due to frog fed with a diet too high in fat or protein. (hopefully not)
In the former case just keep the cage extremely clean like Heather said, and it should be sorted out on its own (cubans are very resilient as I'm sure you know!) if a result of the diet (are you feeding too many waxworms?) then it can be stopped but not usually reversed as far as I am aware. Just correct the diet and your treefrog should be fine.
By the way if you are using those fogging/fine mister things then that will almost certainly be the reason for the infection, thjose things are possibly the most efficient way of introducing pathogens into an animal that there is.
Best of luck and hope all goes well.
