No more meow! My 16 year old cat...

turtle_22 Mar 09, 2004 08:08 PM

Please let me know any info you've got.

My 16 year old cat seemed to have lost her meow.
She is mute all of a sudden!
I miss her special, unique meow so much...it was so different from other cats.

Is this permanent? Does this occur commonly with old age?
Could it be a phase? It's been like this for a month now.

Thanks!

The cat needs a vet exam ASAP! Although it could be something minor, at her age any change can be a red flag for a serious health issue. Please do her a favor and get her an exam! Maybe she'll be able to meow her thanks to you!
