Cat with fungus

Hello I have 7 Cats and they have fungus the vet keeps giving me the run around and wants me to get all this meds and treat them for 5 mo at 89.00 a cat per mo and he wants to do a check up monthy for 37.00 per cat lol ya right anyways so i was reading on line about doing a sulfur dip and or wash has anyone done this and were did you get the lime sulfur i went to home depot and they dont have it grr. oh and this all started a mo ago and the vet didnt tell me the other cats could get it and now 3 have it so i need to treat all 7 and the vet gave me stuff to put on it but it only made it worse so now he gave me pills and stuff to put on it.. i really dont want to make my cats take 2 pills a day for the next 4 to 5 mo they well never come when i call them again!!! the vet never did a culture or anything.

I would not recommend any home treatments - especially something as potentially dangerous as sulfur! Your cats could become very ill or even die if you use the wrong ingredients in the wrong portions!

Since you are so unhappy with your current vet, perhaps you should seek out a second opinion. 59 dollars a cat per month does seem a little excessive. Also it is clear that your vet doesn't seem to be communicating well with you since you are not even sure what kind of fungus this is.

Good luck. I hope a different vet can help you with this problem.
