congestion/vomit questions

mb935 Feb 04, 2005 05:35 PM

For the last couple of weeks every now and then my cat starts to vomit. I guess he ends up swallowing it because he never actually does. Ive also noticed a few times when he purrs he has a congested sound as well. Would these be symptoms of hairballs or something else?

thanks

Hairballs are pretty normal, but this doesn't sound like a hairball. If it were me, I think I'd have the cat checked out by the vet.

It sounds like he could have worms. When I was little. One of our cats got worms. And he would start to cough them up but nothing would come out. The vet gave my mother dewormers. It worked.
