bloody stool

knyghtmist Feb 11, 2005 06:31 AM

Hi I have two cats and this morning when I went to clean the litter box I found a bloody stool. I’m not sure which cat left if - both seem fine. They ate treats and played. What do you think is going on? I am most perplexed because both cats look normal. Any help is greatly appreciated!

If the bloody stool appears again, you will probably need to isolate the cats so that they use different litterboxes. An occasional bloody stool is not a major cause for alarm, but if it is repeated then a vet visit is in order. So you'll have to determine who is the culprit here and then get him/her in for a check up!

I agree with MA. That if it happens again you should bring the cat to the vet.
More then likely one of the cats just ate something that didn't agree with them. Hopefully it doesn't happen again.
