WC Axanthic Sonoran Gopher...

GKnoel85 Oct 14, 2003 02:42 AM

I was so excited to find this little girl! Late this Augest I went out road crusing on a perfect night west of Phoenix. After a few hours, a bunch of mohaves and sidewiners, one liter of mountain dew and a sleeping girlfrend in the passanger seat I decieded to head home. With only a couple miles left utill the road ended and the freeway began I approached what was surely another night snake. I safely stradled across the animal and continued toward home. But I became too curious and decieded to go back and check it out for sure. Fortunately the snake was still on the road. I approached and there sitting completely still was cute baby sonoran gopher. At first I thought that the way it looked was do to my flashlight because the gopher didn't show much color what so ever. But a closer look showed that this affinis was deffinately nothing but blue and grey! I was stoaked! This is the pic I took when I got home that night. I gotta get some better images soon, she is awesome!

That's great, Greg! Are you planning to get a mate from that same locale and breed it in a couple of years? If so, I DEFINIETLY want to be put down for a pair. Heck, I'll take the chance that it isn't simple recessive or even allelic with the other line on a pair.

I've already got some from the other line, but I'd kill for some from a new, WC line - especally if locality pure!

Hold on to that snake!

I still say you buy THE best albino sonoran out there and pump him into her. Make the best lines of blizzards out there, the Knoell line. My 2 cents!

The ghost is doing great! I need to feed him tonight. Just getting all the animals ready for the season! I can't wait to see his babies. Thanks again for the awesome animal!

Take Care,
Kemper
