Siamese

Syndell Jul 12, 2006 12:41 AM

I have a 13 yr. old female Siamese and I've recently noticed some signs I'm worried about. She has fallen off the couch a couple times, just lost her balance. She is cross-eyed as many Siamese are, but she has never had this problem. Today I felt a lump in her hind leg. It isn't hard and her hair has darkened in the same spot. Very worried about this. Would appreciate any help/suggestions.
Thanks,
Syndell

Hi,

What you need is a vet's help to find out what is wrong with your baby. A 13-year-old kitty is at high risk for so many things, such as kidney failure, diabetes, hyperthyroidism, high blood pressure, and cancer.

My guess is that your kitty has failing vision and/or is weak as a result of one or more of these health problems. Please make an appointment and take her in ASAP. Chances are that something can be done for her.

Please let us know how it goes.

Regards,
PHKitkat

I agree, you have to get your kitty to the vet! It's only fair to get treatment for whatever it might be, whether simple or complicated. They can't tell us how it hurts so we have to
take the initiative for them. I had a 19 y/o suddenly stop walking right after Xmas in January 2006. Thinking the worst I took him in after a couple of days because he was not getting better, tho eating and drinking. Thinking the worst, everything was fine. Vet saw some minor arthritis and that's what was getting ot him! He's on supplements and medicam every other day and he is great! Good luck and let us know!
