lolomo226 Mar 02, 2007 08:53 PM

My 12 year old cat Monster has the WORST breath I have ever smelled....EVER! What could be causing this and how can I fix it? I have tried cat treats to reduce placque and those just don't work. Any oyher suggestions?

There are many causes of bad breath ranging from dental problems to kidney problems. The best thing to do at this point is to take the cat to the vet for an evaluation. Cat treats alone can't do the major dental cleaning that is often needed, and if the cat has some other problem causing the bad breath then the sooner it is diagnosed the better.

Good luck!
