Ragdoll?

botchlatear Nov 19, 2004 10:28 AM

This was a stray kitten I took home. Is she ragdoll? Her hair isn't quite long, but she has all the markings!! Even the blue eyes! Maybe just part?

There are many different breeds that she could have in her. She's a lynx point (stripes on the points) so she could have siamese, ragdoll, tonkinese, snowshoe, it's pretty hard to tell for sure. Ragdolls have very soft rabbit-like fur that is medium length with a puffy tail. They are pretty laid back cats that tend to go limp when you pick them up, hence the name ragdoll. She's very cute whatever breed she is! I'd guess she's a siamese mix, but I can't be sure. Good luck with her!

I agree with Martha. Depending on her age her eye color may change. Gabby had blue eyes until she was about 9 weeks old.
I sure love that kitty in the background!

I am gonna go with part siamese on this kitten. Looks like Momma probably had a good time with a lynx point siamese or at least a mix with that trait. She is sure adorable as is her sibling in the background. I bet her eyes stay blue for you. This is my full blooded Siamese....Samantha Marie. She is chocolate point.

Believe it or not, her mommy was a tortise calico and her daddy was a plain ole grey tabby cat!!
The kitten in the background is her brother, Gauge. He's a momma's boy . He follows me around with his tail stiff into the air like a flagpole. He's hilarious. He has beautful green eyes and has the loudest little purr I have ever heard!!! Here is a picture of him for ya'll
playing in the toilet paper (you just can't get mad about that at something so cute).

How do you know the father was a plain grey tabby cat? Is the mother in inside only cat? Did you know if a female gets out in heat she will mate with as many males as their are avaialbe. That means the babies can all of different fathers.

That orange guy is so cute!

Well, momma cat is a barn cat. She stays in there all the time because we have a bad case of vultures, hawks, and coyotes. When I got to the barn (The parents aren't my cats, I don't own the barn either!), there was a male, uncastrated tabby cat. He is always in there, too. They inseperable I swear.
Well, momma cat is pregnant... AGAIN.
Last time all the kittens were presumabley eaten once they were old enough to bound around (except the two cuties I took of course), so I'm going to take her whole litter this time (she is very petite, her litters are usually about 4 or 5) and take them to the SPCA in Dallas. I'll probably keep one .
She has such diverse litters. She always has about 3 tabbys - grey and orange- and a white or variation of white kitten.
So, if any of you are in Dallas, Gainesville, or Stephenville Texas, there will be kittens here pretty soon if ya want to reserve one!
